Moab: Part 1

In April of this year I went on a road trip with my brother-in-law, John. Our ultimate destination was Moab, Utah.

While John was in a class all week I went exploring. The first day we were there I drove south along US-191 and flew my drone to get some pictures and videos of the wild-looking rock formations.

My tent is the first one. I fit a full air mattress inside because why not? It’s a bit tight on space but the tent is small anyway. Pictured: John, my brother-in-law

We camped at ACT Campground in Moab. The tent sites don’t have any water or electric, but they’re a short walk from the bathrooms, showers, and kitchen. The kitchen is a large common room where you can fill up any water tanks and plug in electronics to charge when it gets too hot to do anything in the afternoon. Other than the fine layer of red desert sand that blew into our tents no matter how tight they were shut, the experience was great!

I flew my drone all over these unique rock formations to capture some really interesting scenery.

This was taken by my drone camera. The rocks farthest away are almost 400 feet high.

I can only assume this used to be a riverbed.

Wilson Arch is not in any park, it’s on the side of US-191 before you get into Moab.

I climbed up here and had the whole place to myself for a while.
